If you’d like to wash your hair system I recommend doing so no more than one or two times weekly. However, washing your hair that frequently is not required. Minimal hair washing helps maintain the adhesive bond, helping it last longer without needing touch ups. The less you wash your hair system, the longer it is likely to last. Here’s how to wash your hair when wearing a hair system:
Use lukewarm water
Use sulfate-free, hydrating and deeply moisturizing shampoo or any professional grade water-based, hydrating shampoo.
Use a stroking motion in one direction (ideally in the direction your hair goes). Do not scrub. This can cause tangling.
After washing, use a spray leave-in conditioner to get rid of any remaining knots in your hair. Style as desired.
